Porsche 911
The Porsche 911 was a formidable rally car in the late 60's and early 70's. It was possible to enter it into no less than 4 different rallying categories and it gained 32 outright podium finishes between 1965 and 1972

Porsche 911
The Porsche 911 was still rallying in the 1980's. This is the Bjorn Waldegarard driven Safari car of 1978. He was forced out with suspension trouble while leading. Vic Preston drove an identical car to second.

Porsche 959
The 959 was bred for racing rather than rallying but Porsche saw an opportunity to field its own Group B contender. Producing up to 600 BHP with it's twin turbo motor it was delayed on to the Group B scene and missed its chance to fulfill it's potential.
