Notes
The Rover P6 blew away the mould of staid, dependable Rover cars of the past. Here was a modern Rover with instant appeal to the middle management & executive types.
Geneology
The Rover P6's were updated as Mark II in 1970. Mk I's being recognisable by their metal grills, while mark II cars had plastic honeycombed grills and 2 extra contours on the top of the bonnet.
Police
The power and performance available in the P6 Rovers didn't escape the attention of the police. Many forces had P6's serving on them in either area or traffic car capacity. Here we have a 2200TC of the West Midlands police force and a 3500 V8 of the metropolitan police.
