Notes
The Sierra was a good rally car on paper, particularly on asphalt but it was not reliable enough and a lack of 4wd for gravel rallies left it hampered and also up against the all-conquering Lancia Deltas. It gained only 1 international win on the Tour de Corse rally in 1988 but came close on several other occassions. It had many sponsors during its rally career.
Notes
The Cosworth Sapphire version took over from the Sierra Cosworth, featuring mainly Autoglass and Mobil / Q8 sponsorships.
